VidSave (“the App”) is developed and maintained by Steward Technologies Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using VidSave, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information directly.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage data – anonymised analytics such as screen views and feature interactions, collected via Firebase Analytics.
  • Crash reports – diagnostic data to help us fix bugs, collected via Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Download history – video titles, file paths, and metadata are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.

2.3 Advertising Data

VidSave displays ads to free users via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve personalised ads. Users in applicable regions (e.g. EEA) are shown a consent prompt powered by Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) before any personalised advertising data is collected.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data described above solely to:

  • Provide and improve the App’s functionality
  • Diagnose crashes and fix technical issues
  • Serve advertisements (free tier only)

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are processed via RevenueCat and the respective app store (Apple App Store / Google Play). We do not store or process payment card information. Please review RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for details on how subscription data is handled.

5. Downloaded Content

VidSave allows you to download publicly accessible video content for personal use. Downloaded files are saved directly to your device’s local storage. We do not upload, access, or retain copies of any downloaded files.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you download complies with the terms of service of the source platform and applicable copyright law.

6. Children’s Privacy

VidSave is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Retention

Analytics and crash data are retained for up to 14 months in accordance with Firebase’s default retention policy. Local download history is stored on your device until you clear it within the App or uninstall the App.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. Where consent-based advertising applies, you may withdraw consent at any time through the App’s privacy settings.
