Privacy Policy for Rise

Rise is a sit/stand reminder app. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled. In short: Rise has no account or login, and we do not sell your data or show ads.

1. Information stored on your device

Rise saves the following on your device only, so the app can work:

  • Your chosen reminder interval
  • Your break count and seated-minutes totals
  • Whether you have completed onboarding

This information is not sent to us or to any server. It is removed when you delete the app.

2. Notifications

Rise uses local notifications to remind you when it is time to stand. These are scheduled on your device. We do not use remote push notifications, and we do not receive your notification token. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Rise Pro is a paid subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may receive:

  • An anonymous app user ID
  • Purchase and subscription information (for example, your plan and whether it is active)
  • Basic device and technical information, such as device type, OS version, and IP address

We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple and RevenueCat handle this information under their own privacy policies:

4. Apple Search Ads attribution

On iOS, Rise may use Apple’s AdServices framework to collect an attribution token, which is shared with RevenueCat to measure whether an Apple Search Ads campaign led to an install or subscription. It does not identify you personally and is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not require an account or collect your name, email, or phone number in the app.
  • We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or health data.
  • We do not sell or rent your information.
  • We do not use your information for advertising.

6. Data retention and deletion

Data on your device is deleted when you uninstall Rise. Subscription records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to provide your subscription and meet legal obligations. To ask us about your data, contact us at the email above.

7. Children

Rise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Health information

Rise offers general activity reminders and wellness information only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Talk to your doctor about what is right for you.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the Nigeria Data Protection Act or the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Contact us using the details above to make a request.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed. Continued use of Rise after an update means you accept the revised policy.
