Steward Technologies Ltd (“Steward Technologies”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates MintMark, a coin identification application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Photos and Coin Information

When you take a photo of a coin or select one from your photo library, the image is sent securely to our AI service provider for analysis. We use OpenAI’s vision models to identify the coin and provide information such as its date, mint mark, denomination, country, composition, rarity indicators, and applicable melt value.

Coin photos are used to provide the identification service. They are not intentionally linked to your personal identity.

Saved Identifications

If you use MintMark’s collection or favorites features, the App may store your coin photos and identification details so you can view, organize, and revisit them. You can delete saved items at any time.

Information You Provide

We may receive information you voluntarily provide to us, such as when you contact us by email for support.

2. How We Use Information

We use information collected through MintMark to:

• Identify coins and provide the App’s features.
• Save and organize your coin collection when you choose to do so.
• Improve reliability, security, and performance of the App.
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the App.
• Prevent misuse, fraud, or security incidents.

We do not use your coin photos to create a personal profile about you.

3. AI Processing

MintMark uses OpenAI’s vision models to analyze coin images. Photos are transmitted securely to OpenAI for processing so that MintMark can provide identification results.

Before your first scan, MintMark provides information about this AI processing. OpenAI’s handling of data is also subject to its applicable terms and privacy practices.

4. Melt Value and Market Data

Where applicable, MintMark may use live precious-metal spot prices to calculate an estimated melt value from a recognized coin’s official weight and purity specifications.

This calculation concerns the coin’s metal content only. It is not a collector-value appraisal. MintMark does not use your photo to guess a coin’s grade or collector value.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only when reasonably necessary to operate MintMark, including with service providers that process information on our behalf, such as AI infrastructure providers, or when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and our services.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App’s features, maintain security, meet legal obligations, or fulfill the purposes described in this policy.

You may delete saved coin identifications from the App at any time. If you have a privacy or deletion request, contact us at hello@stewardtechnologies.com.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information transmitted to and stored by MintMark. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

MintMark is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Your Choices

Depending on your device and how you use MintMark, you can:

• Choose whether to grant camera or photo-library access.
• Delete saved coin identifications.
• Contact us about access, correction, or deletion of personal information we may hold about you.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App.

Melt value, where shown, reflects estimated metal content at applicable spot prices and is not the collector or numismatic value of a coin. Actual collector value can depend substantially on physical condition, authenticity, rarity, provenance, and other factors that a photograph cannot establish.
